Just remember, a shocker bullet that miss and hits a wall just behind a zombie will zap it from behind. If you have trouble with lining up zombies to kill using Ronson 45 or playing with super-low cap Mustang, this will be recommended for you. But it should not be problem in late game though since money gain should be high enough at that point. The ammo is quite expensive compared to other red pistols and due to its low cap means you can not use much of Field Supplies on this baby. Damage is moderately higher than average with 800 (*10 deadly+red) and energy type. Works when under special situations such as checking rooms or prempt-hitting zombies outside the train wall in Vaccine mission. Once you get that Pistol Mastery Level 5, you're gonna run around with this baby and zapping hordes. No infinite DPS, but this thing still devastates. Remember: if you don't like it or having hard time using it, then feel free to use something easier to use like CM 205.Įdit: Just like gigavolt, it can arc multiple times, but limited to its pierce. However, people who likes very "tricky" play can easily use it as effective as any other SMGs that lvl. Having lowest movement penalty of all pistols, it is not idle for what all pistols are for: RUNNING. However, 5 capacity, paid ammo, and -5% movement is downside of this. Due to the fact that it appears very early in the game, it is very useful for those on VIP without Gigavolt. Great damage-per-round, good rps as semi-auto, and the highlight is arcing capability and energy damage type. Capacity is needed more than deadly usually, as the clip is very very small and can be spent in less than a second. While the damage of 200 may seem low, other pistols of high damage/pierce need the zombies to be lined up but this hits the entire group resulting in higher damage per shot. Plenty of damage, pierce is barely needed as it zaps a whole group of zombies. Although, until you get Capactiy and/or Race-modded on this gun, using it may get on your nerves. The damage type also greatly wins over other pistols. However, the damage is still great, and the arcing ability is unarguably amazing. Besides, as one of the two sidearms that do not have inifte ammo, low level SASs may find sustaining this gun problematic. With a clip of 6, it simply does not work. Movement penalty is negligible but when using the Gigavolt, I already feel like reloading half of the time. The normal version hardly appears until late twenties and the RED counterpart nearly never appears before the sixites or more. Much more damage, but free ammo.Īlthough the Trailblazer functions similarly to the Gigavolt, one of the best guns in the game, the Trailblazer is not excellent. I'd rather use the Poison Claw or the Ronson 45. It does decent damage (better then the other starting guns) and due to its unlimited ammo, can be used very effectively. I think that as a starter weapon, this is an excellent pistol. You can still use something like CM205 for the sake of ammo. When you get this in RED version, DON'T USE IT. If you are medic and started with the SMG, it's advised to NOT waste the ammo. It is pretty useful compared those starter weapons. However, it will still need a long time to take down the tougher Stalker or Bloater. Infinite ammo is the best perk as you do not have to worry about the bullets you will inevitably have to spam on the zombies. The damage is decent for Normal Shamblers and Fetid ones, clip size is rather large, firing rate is good, and reload time is fair. As a starter sidearm, this gun is surprisingly useful when it comes to picking off zombies, running away from hordes, or simply saving money.
